Meet Our Founder: "Big Bruno"

For nearly 17 years, Bruce “Big Bruno” Cohen has dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to helping homeless animals, with a special commitment to animals who are older, fearful, have medical needs, or simply need a little extra time and attention.

His years of hands-on shelter experience inspired him to establish Big Bruno Animal Rescue

Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animal shelters and qualified nonprofit rescues provide veterinary care, medical procedures, supplies, adoption support, and other critical assistance for animals in need.

Bruce serves as President and Executive Director and receives no salary. His goal is simple: help shelters and rescues save more lives and give animals another chance at finding loving homes.
